About the trip
Summary:
The Dolomites are perhaps the most beautiful part of northern Italy. High cliffs, steep trails, yellow pine trees, bottomless sky ... We once again invite you to visit the Dolomites in the fall. Why fall, you ask? At this time of the year, there are much fewer tourists here and you can enjoy the surrounding beauty almost alone. October and November, according to statistics are the driest months in this part of Italy. Green, yellow and even purple colors of the forest combined with an unreal blue sky will make you fall in love with the Dolomites at first sight. We invite you to join us on this beautiful adventure.
Just the facts:
The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. They form a part of the Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley (Pieve di Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are defined by the Puster Valley and the Sugana Valley (Italian: Valsugana). The Dolomites are nearly equally shared between the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trentino. The Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and many other regional parks are located in the Dolomites. In August 2009, the Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
