About the trip

The North American continent, like no other, is rich in national parks - only in the US there are more than 500. And each of them is unique in its own way.

We invite you to travel with us on a car ride through the national parks of Wild West and see with your own eyes what you have only seen in Hollywood westerns and National Geographic films: grand canyons and gorges carved in the red rocks of Utah, Death Valley and Monument Valley, giant sequoias more than 100 meters high and bizarre trees named after the prophet.

We will walk the trails through the sharp hills of Bryce Canyon and Virginia River Gorge just 9 meters wide, catching the sunlight in Antelope Canyon. Don't hesitate!

The program

Day 1

Meeting the group in Las Vegas at 12:00 am, getting acquainted.
Everyone knows this is a famous city that grew up in the Mojave Desert. We will not be able to dive into the world of players who are testing their fate on the first day of the trip (it is better to do it on the way back), but we will have time to stroll along the main street of Las Vegas Strip, where the main casinos are located.
After purchasing the necessary food, we leave for the Grand Canyon.
Overnight stay at a hotel near it with double occupancy. Here we stay for two nights.

Day 2

We spend the whole day in the Grand Canyon National Park.
The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1979. We will visit the most gorgeous views from the southern part of the canyon. Be sure to wait for the sunset - the canyon at sunset is incredibly beautiful with the combination of purple shadows and golden slopes, colored by the rays of the setting sun.
In the evening we return to the hotel.

Day 3

Today we will see another stunning canyon - Antelope Canyon, located 240 km northeast of the Grand Canyon. It is not as famous as the Grand Canyon, but we assure you that you will be fascinated by the narrow gorges, painted in red, reminiscent of the skin of the antelope (hence, the name of the canyon). The canyon is located on the lands belonging to Native American tribes, who charge a certain amount in exchange for the permission to pass through their territory.
We check out of the hotel and leave at 9:00 am. On the way to Antelope Canyon, we stop at Powell Reservoir on the Colorado River to admire the Grand Canyon once again from another angle.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 4

Hotel check out at 9:00 am.
Today we have the Monument Valley and Arches National Park planned.

The Monument Valley is a unique geological formation consisting of individual rocks that resemble the remains of ancient architectural structures. It is believed that 250 million years ago there was a sea at the bottom of which a sedimentary layer has accumulated, which served as the building material for today's "monuments".
Arches National Park is famous for its exquisite stone arches. There are more than 2,000 of them, carefully polished by wind and rainwater - this is probably the largest accumulation of arches created by nature.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 5

Hotel check out at 9:00 am and departure to Canyonlands National Park. The Canyonlands is, in fact, a desert located on the Colorado Plateau at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,800 meters above sea level. The rocks here are formed by the same sandstones as other geological formations in Utah are. People have lived here since ancient times, leaving rock paintings dating back to 1700 BC.
The second park for today is Dead Horse Point State Park. It is also called Dead Horse Head Park. According to a legend, cowboys drove the mustangs up the mountain, fenced it and chose the best horses. The rest were abandoned to die from thirst in this place - hence the name of the park.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 6

We leave the hotel at 9:00 am. The journey through Utah's unique national parks continues. Today we will spend the whole day at the Capitol Reef National Park.
In the evening we drive to a hotel with double occupancy. Here we stay for two nights.

Day 7

At 9:00 am we leave for Bryce Canyon National Park to trek. Bryce Canyon is rather an amphitheater, composed of so-called " hoodoos" - high thin pointed geological formations. The height of the Bryce Canyon edge varies from 2,400 to 2,700 m above sea level, while the southern edge of the Grand Canyon is located at an altitude of 2,100 m.
It makes little sense to look at this canyon from a distance, as hoodoos merge into a single mass. In order to feel the beauty of this place it is necessary to walk on footpaths, go down inside the amphitheater and admire the hoodoos nearby. And we will walk, admire, enjoy, wonder ..
In the evening we return to the hotel.

Day 8

Hotel check-out at 9:00 am. We set out to Zion National Park. It is located at the intersection of the Colorado Plateau and Mojave Desert. The lowest point of the park is at an altitude of 1,117 m above sea level and the highest at 2,660 m. The landscape of the park is mountains and canyons of the same red color as the whole Utah. The Virginia River flows through the park, cutting through a stunningly beautiful gorge in the cliffs, which reach 600 meters in height. The width of the gorge is only 6-9 meters in some places. There is one of the most unusual hiking trails called the Narrows Trail - it ranks 5th in the National Geographic rankings.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 9

We leave the hotel at 9:00 am and go to the famous Death Valley.
Death Valley is considered the hottest place on Earth. In 1913, the highest temperature of + 56.7 degrees Celsius was recorded here. The lowest point on Earth's surface in North America – Badwater Basin (86 m below sea level) – is located here.
The Death Valley is unique in one geological phenomenon - rocks found on the dried up Racetrack Playa Lake slowly move along the clay bottom of the lake, leaving traces several tens of meters long. The stones begin to move once every two or three years, but some traces persist for 3-4 years. The phenomenon is being studied by scientists, a dissertation on the subject was written at the University of California, GPS-sensors are attached to the stones, graphs of their motion are drawn, the ratio of their mass to the distance traveled is calculated ... And the rocks continue to roam. We will try to see these sailing stones, well, or at least their traces.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 10

Departure from the hotel towards Sequoia National Park at 9:00 am. Day on the road.
In the evening we check into a hotel with double occupancy. Here we stay for two nights.

Day 11

Hotel check out at 9:00 am. Today we will see giant redwoods. The largest (by volume of wood) tree on Earth grows in the eponymous national park. Its name is General Sherman's tree, its timber volume is 1500 cubic meters. It grows in a grove called the "Giant Forest". The unforgettable experience of visiting this forest is guaranteed. There are hiking trails in the park, if the weather permits, we will take a walk on one of them.
In the evening we return to the hotel.

Day 12

Hotel check-out at 9:00 am.
The last in this program is a day dedicated to another tree named after the Old Testament prophet Joshua. We drive to Joshua Tree National Park. Joshua tree is a palm-leafed yucca that grows only in this region. The name of the tree was given by the pioneers, Mormons, to whom it reminded the prophet, pointing his hand toward the promised land. Some guides write that the Mormons were reminded of the prophet who was praying. Perhaps this tree could have reminded them of a prophet performing other actions: they say that these trees are striking in their variety of forms. We will see them too.
Overnight stay at the hotel with double occupancy.

Day 13

We check out of the hotel at 9:00 am and depart back to Las Vegas. Estimated time of arrival – 1:00 pm. Departure home.

Due to weather conditions and other circumstances, minor changes to the program are possible.
