Mont Blanc, France, climb

Mont Blanc, Monte Bianco, White Mountain. Once you see her, you'll know you'll have to climb her. You will be restless thinking of her until one day you make it to Chamonix, France and attempt to summit her. But she won't give up easily, she will present you with many obstacles that would have to be overcome. She'll ask for your blood, sweat and tears. All that will be the price you'd have to pay to ascend to 4809 meters above sea level.

Mont Blanc is where modern alpinism has started. It is the mountain where French, Italian, German, Swiss mountaineering techniques have been developed and polished. It is a serious mountain however with various degrees of difficulty. In this summit attempt, we're taking a classic route most mountaineers take. Yet, don't underestimate its challenges, from altitude sickness, to scrambling, narrow snow ridges, glacier fields, rock falls and of course, the weather. Mont Blanc is the right of passage for any mountaineer.

All participants must be un good physical shape. We highly recommend at least 2 months of training according to our recommended program. The number of spots in the group is limited.

1-2 day

Departure from Lviv at 5 am. A long road trip is ahead of us: Ukraine - Poland - Germany - Switzerland - France. We spend nights in Germany and France in campsites in tents.

3-6 day

Trekking in the National Park Des Ecrins, France. We get in shape and acclimate for a few days here.
Elevation range from 1000 to 2600 meters. In total we will trek for about 56 km with a total elevation gain of ~5 thousand meters.

Day 7

Acclimatization climb to one of the glaciers in the Des Ecrins National Park and overnight stay at an altitude of 3440 m

Day 8

Transfer to Le Houche, France next to Chamonix. Preparation for the ascent.

Day 9

Climbing to Tet Rus (3165m). First Mont Blanc base camp.

Day 10

Summit day. We wake up early and attempt to summit Mont Blanc. Returning to Tet Rus for the night

Day 11

Backup day. in case of bad weather.

Day 12

Descent to Les Houches, departure to Chamonix.

13-14 day

Heading home.. Arrival time in Lviv late at night, possibly after midnight. All depends on the border crossing times and delays if any.

The price includes:

• Transportation by van from Lviv to Nat. Park Des Ecrins, Chamonix, Les Houches and back;


• All nights on a trip in a tent, at refuges or in campsites;


• Mountaineering guide for the entire route;


• Common use equipment: pots, gas burners, fuel, GPS navigator, first-aid kit for the group


• Consultations on trekking, personal equipment, insurance, etc

The price doesn’t include:

• Food (~40-50 euro per person for the entire trip. Depends on the actual price of food, some of which we will buy on the road. You can also bring your own food) All members of the group take participate in cooking and will carry it on backpacking trips


• Visa/passport fees (aren't required for a biometric passport)


• Shower in campsites and shelters;


• Souvenirs, entrance tickets and optional excursions not covered by this program;

• equipment rental, if necessary.
